At just 12 years old, Vlad designed the VSV Leader Keeper, a 3D-printed gadget that keeps fishing leaders and lures organized, tangle-free, and ready to use.

We've got another exciting addition to Sweeney's Sports — we now offer fishing rod repair right here in the shop!
Our very own Axel has been developing his rod-building and repair skills, and he's already doing some impressive work.
Whether you've broken a rod tip, damaged a guide, or cracked a ceramic insert that's chewing through your fishing line, Axel can help bring your favorite rod back into action.
And we're not just talking about gluing things back together. Axel uses proper thread wrapping, epoxy finishing, and a rod-wrapping setup to make durable, clean repairs.
Prices start at just $15, with wrapped tip replacements at $20 and complete guide replacements at $25.
We're especially excited to see one of our own team members developing a craft that helps our fishing community keep their trusted gear on the water.

Napa Fishing Club: Sturgeon & Striped Bass Fishing — October 30
Join us for the next Napa Fishing Club meeting on Friday, October 30, from 6:00–8:30 PM at Sweeney’s Sports!
This month, we're diving into two of the Napa River's most exciting game fish: sturgeon and striped bass!
We'll explore techniques for targeting both species, whether you're fishing from a boat or casting from the bank. We'll talk about where to find them, tackle and bait selection, fishing techniques, and tips to improve your chances of success on our home waters.
Whether you're an experienced angler or just getting started, come learn something new, swap fishing stories, and connect with fellow Napa anglers.
Pizza and drinks are included!
