We Used an Underwater Camera to Test a New Crab Snare
Real R&D on Tomales Bay
Out on Tomales Bay, we decided to do something we don’t usually get to do in real time: watch a crab snare work underwater.
This wasn’t just a fishing trip - it was real R&D. We brought along an underwater camera and one of the newest snares we’ve been testing at the shop: the Glider Snare. The goal was simple: see how crabs actually interact with the snare, how quickly they commit, and whether the design does what it claims.
