Napa River Fishing Report
Napa river has gotten a lot of rain the past few weeks and the water is stained. This means the sturgeon bite should improve as the weeks go on and the water warms up. The water temp is around 47 degrees right now.
A lot of logs and stumps and debris floating down the river:

We fished for Sturgeon on Tuesday afternoon and had to move continually to find clean water to avoid stuff hitting our lines. We had a couple of takedowns on an Eel + Large Night Crawler bait combo.

Lamprey Eel is Available at the shop.
We marked a lot of fish in the mid-to-lower column during the outgoing tide. Once we saw fish hugging the bottom we anchored up downstream and cast to them. The water seemed cleaner in the sloughs, so we spent most of our time there.
Striper bite seems to be a little slow with the dirty water, so cut bait and rattle traps are the ticket right now.
